Meow-Row-Row!
I dont often talk about my cat, Cinder. It's always 'the dogs this ... ', and 'the dogs that... '
Well, we're all owned by a black cat, Cinder. She's -mostly- black, except for a cottony white patch on her belly, and a few stray white hairs. She had grey stripes when she was a kitten, but she grew out of them.
Cinder offers her opinion on EVERYTHING. I've had her for ... hrm ... 7 years now, or so. She was a straggly little kitten when I adopted her from the SPCA, but she sure was mouthy back then... and she hasnt changed in that respect.
From anywhere in the house, I can call out "Meow?" and she'll respond with a "Meow." Even now, I just said it out loud as I was typing it, and she came running from the kitchen, jumped up on to the table next to me, and "Mrrow"ed. And it's not just "Meow" with her. She has a wide vocabulary. She puts together sentences! I have to nod and listen to keep up, as she tells me stories about her day.
This evening, I was preparing her dinner and I paused to clean out her litter box because she'd left something new and QUITE SMELLY in there. I mean, it was bad! I choked and looked at her and asked her "What in the world do I feed you??"
She looked at me and said "Meow-Row-Row!" with such certainty and inflection that I completely cracked up.
Boy, she told me!!

Just call you Dr Dolittle! I love how cats are so intelligent and dogs are so dumb.
A UK transvestite comedian called Ediie Izzard did a great sketch about the differences between cats and dogs. Check this out, and search for "cats and dogs".
There is another one about putting up shelves and the cat is like, "wouldn't do it like that mate" and the dog is like "I don't know what you are doing, but it's very clever!"

Cinnnnddddeeeerrrrrrrr!
There, now I've left her a messsage since I haven't called her and left a voice message on Her machine ;)
I can vouch for the volume, sentence structure and replies that Cinderbella does. She is an Amazing cat!
And she PURRS a lot too. Tho she doesn't always respond to ME when I say "Meow".. mayhap she wonders why I'm calling my own name? ;)

Yeah, mayhap she's wondering when you're gonna poke or prod her ... she tends to smack you more often than meow at you. 'Aunt Meow' is MEAN to the poor innocent Cinder-kitty!! (at least, that's what she tells ME) d;)
