Collections, Part Two
A few weeks back, I was listing things that I collect. Today as I was running errands, it occurred to me that I forgot to list my greatest treasure ... something I've been collecting for years.
Friends.
From all of my adventures, all of the places I've been, I've hung on to a few very special people from each place or experience. Collected them. Going all of the way back to grade school ... high school ... camp ... college(s) ... living in various locations ... even from the internet and online games. There have been one or two people that I've kept with me in spirit thru-out life.
How could I forget this collection? The most unique, the slowest growing, the most important to me ... absolutely priceless. My closest friends.

Aw...this is a really sweet post. I must have missed your original collections one. Very interesting to see what other people collect.
I have collected Breyer horses (as a child), Star Wars action figures and other related things, rocks and minerals, small acorns and seeds, pennies from favorite years of my life, and lots of other strange stuff. I have a tub full of Beanie Babies from the mid to late 1990's too.

Thanks ... sometimes I just get reminded how important they are to me. I've got some pictures on my mantle... I need to get more.
I had a Breyer horse collection, too. I'm not sure what happened to them! I love Beanie Babies, but could never bring myself to collect them because of all the hype surrounding them. I just wanted them because they were so durned cute!! *grin* So I actually dont own a single one. I've been tempted SO many times, especially, of course, the dogs ... d;)

I've got two boxes stuffed and crammed full of beanie babies plus at least another half box full. My mom and brother (and sis-in-law) collect them like crazy - their collections are in the several hundreds Each. I get any duplicates "I bought this one but got home and already have it." etc I think I've bought five or six for myself, rest are all gifts.
