Dare To Be Thankful
I DARE YOU to do this ... because it should be done every once in awhile as a reminder.
Write a list of ten things you can honestly be thankful for.
I am thankful for:
1) The friends in my life, some who date back from childhood to those from much more recently. I wouldnt be who I am without them. They've helped to shape and mold me in to the person I am today, and I appreciate that.
2) That I can pay my mortgage this month!
3) My critters, who have each taught me their own lessons of patience, strength, love and understanding.
4) My car, Morpheus the Matrix. It gets GREAT mileage (30+ MPG), zips around quite nicely for a 4-cylinder, got me safely to Missouri and back despite many severe storms and slippery roads, and transports the dogs nicely.
5) Truly truly thankful for air-conditioning. How sad is that?
6) My family, far and wide. From Montana to Nevada to Texas and Georgia, Florida and South Carolina, Missouri and Colorado ... family everywhere. All too far apart tho.
7) My health ... today, at least. d;) Never know when another migraine is going to sneak up and attack, but for now ... I can say that I do have my health.
8) My house. I'm starting to feel more comfortable and safe and secure here ... starting to call it "home". I've moved around so much, that I havent felt settled anywhere in the past 16 years or so. I havent LET myself, because I knew I'd just be moving on soon.
9) Ice Cream. C'mon ... it's just a durned good food!
10) My favorite blanket. Yes, in a way, it's my 'security blanket'.
