Reading With the Cat
I laid down on my bed awhile ago to read a book. My cat, Cinder, joined me. Therefore, my hopes of reading the book were over. Anyone who has ever owned a cat knows that cats-and-books do not mix.
You do not read the book, you read the cat.
If you manage to keep the cat from sitting or laying directly in the center of the book, then you get a tail as a moving bookmark ... or a paw directing you which words to read next... or 'assistance' turning pages.
Ah, the life of a cat owner ... d:)

She just really agreed with the book you were reading! Unless it was your dog communication book then she *totally* disagreed with your topic choice and therefore distracted you - as an self-respecting cat would! :)
Hi Cinderbella!
Hi Cinderbella!
I dunno ... I had intended to actually get some reading done, the dogs were outside despite the heat just so I could curl up with a book for awhile ... my mistake was being on the bed. Big bed - cat must take up the one foot of unavailable space. *grin*
