Life? Updates? Nahh...
I dunno ... you just get so far behind that you give up trying.
Christmas was good, went home to St.Louis for just a handful of days. Had to work for two of those, so was plugged in to the parents' phone line Christmas Eve Day and Christmas Day. No work, no pay ... but it still beats unemployment BY FAR!!! Got to visit with friends and family, tho I also brought an icky cold back to NC with me ... spent the next two weeks (including New Years) sick.
Was supposed to go to a party with the boyfriend on New Years Eve, instead spent it alone feeling miserable and cursing viruses and germs. Didnt get to see anyone for the next few days ... worked from home ... got really tired of playing hermit.
This past Monday, the boyfriend and I drove down to Myrtle Beach for the day and he got to meet the parents! They are vacationing there for a few weeks ... their annual trip ... so we spent the day. Everything went well ... parents and boyfriend were all on their best behavior. d;) Nah ... everyone acted normally and was able to relax and be themselves for the most part. We were having 67 degree weather, so spent plenty of time walking around enjoying the sunshine.
Supposed to go to the Aquarium at Fort Fisher on Monday ... it's free to get in for the day ... but I think I'm going to pass on the trip, I need to start making my house spotless, the parents are coming here the week after. Tuesday is "doctor day" ... two of the dogs go in to the Vet, and I go to the doc myself. Wednesday, another dog goes in.
Speaking of dogs, Willow was starting to go down hill again... her nose was losing color, and she wasnt keeping food down. I think I have it reversed ... we'll see. She's getting blood tests done on Tuesday.
